Enabling Secure Access to Ontario’s Outdoor Licensing System

Ontario is home to one of Canada's largest hunting and fishing communities, with hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors participating in licensed outdoor activities each year. Supporting this activity requires a secure and reliable licensing framework that helps promote conservation, regulatory compliance, and responsible resource management across the province. 

At the center of this system is the Ontario Outdoors Card — a mandatory credential required for individuals participating in hunting and fishing activities throughout Ontario. The card links license holders to their hunting and fishing privileges and serves as a trusted credential within the province’s outdoor licensing system. 

Since 2016, Veridos Canada has partnered with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) to support the secure issuance of the Ontario Outdoors Card across Ontario, delivering more than half a million credentials annually. The program requires dependable performance during peak seasonal demand, when participation in hunting and fishing activities is at its highest.
